Ray Hall
Ray has worked in the electrical services industry for more than 25 years. From apprentice electrician to business leader he has seen the standby power industry change and been involved with some of the largest and most prestigious UPS installations in the UK.
After 10 years with one of the largest UPS companies overseeing the installations and maintenance of equipment in Data Centres, financial institutions’, medical and telecoms centres Ray left to set up a service and installation company (GR Solutions) that is still operating 11 years on.
He founded Metartec when he saw the opportunity in a changing market place for a low overhead high credence supplier to supply equipment and services.
Eoin Ryan
Eoin spent over 23 years with the world’s largest 3 phase UPS company, Merlin Gerin UPS, MGE UPS Systems. He worked initially in service applications, dealing with service sales administration, procurement and inventory management before moving to the Finance Department and returning to college and university to study and gain recognised financial qualifications.
Thereafter, Eoin managed the finance team at the UK head office. Prior to joining Metartec Eoin was also seconded as the Financial Controller to a Third Party Maintenance Company (CBS Group) in the post acquisition stage to ensure the corporate financial reporting procedures were implemented.
Stephen McCallum
Stephen served an apprenticeship in the electrical manufacturing industry assembling LV switchboards, wiring electrical control panels and Power Factor Correction equipment.
He then moved onto installing and servicing UPS equipment with the first sales of high power UPS equipment in N. Ireland. Stephen moved to the world’s largest 3 phase UPS company (formerly Merlin Gerin UPS, then MGE UPS Systems) in 1990 and set about building an unrivalled sales and service team in Ireland.
With the acquisition of two companies, a Third Party Maintenance UPS Company and an Equipment and Battery Supply Company (Computer Battery Services and Premier UPS) Stephen moved to England as the new Managing Director to merge and restructure both.
With the job completed, Stephen joined Metartec in January 2009 as Business Development Director.
Scott Myers
Scott served an apprenticeship with Matthew Hall becoming a site foreman at 21. He worked on several large projects in the City including County Hall, Office for National Statistics and Whipps Cross Hospital.
Scott has also worked as a Contracts Manager installing high end Air Conditioning Equipment for one of the world’s leading manufacturers. He has a depth of experience in Data Centres having managed electrical projects in London, Paris and Madrid when with GR Solutions.
He now manages a team of electricians and oversees the logistics and installation of Metartec turn key projects.
