Fuel Cell Backup Power Modules
The fuel cell backup modules provide an instant and reliable power in case of grid power outage and can directly replace existing power backup or UPS solutions like batteries and diesel generators. The modules are based on the PEM fuel cell stack technology and include a fully integrated power management with various configuration possibilities. The technology used is comparable to a stand-alone power generator running on liquid fuel like diesel and gasoline and in principle operates like a battery.

The modules are based on hydrogen and fuel cell technologies with fully integrated power management and various configurations.

The modules operate in two modes; standby and backup: -

In standby mode, the modules monitor any kind of power failure on the main power grid. In case of power failure the modules monitor any kind of power failure on the mains power grid. It can provide up to 250 W DC-output through integrated AC / DC power supply.

When a power failure occurs, the modules instantly switch from standby mode to backup mode with no delay (0 ms). The modules then supply the network with -48VDC (+24). Other voltage outputs are optional.
